Cash rewards credit cards provide you with a way to earn money for spending money. Consumers who use their credit cards for approved types of purchases can earn a percentage of return on their spending. For example, if you spend $500 on your credit card on approved purchases, you could earn $24 cash back from a credit card lender offering 5% cash back. Keep in mind that each lender offers different programs, some offering additional cash back offers for special purchases made online or at select stores. In addition, some companies limit how much cash back you can earn on certain types of purchases or in total. Read through the details to know exactly what to expect.
When selecting cash rewards credit cards, consider other factors as well. Determine if the lender charges an annual fee. Learn what the regular APR is and if there is an introductory offer to get you started. Some cards even give you bonuses after you spend a certain amount when you initially get the card. To get the most bang for your buck, be sure to use your cash rewards credit cards for all of your purchases. Then, pay the credit card offer within the grace period. That's an easy way for you to earn cash back on much of what you spend without actually having to pay interest charges. If you plan to carry a balance from one month to the next, be sure you look for the lowest APR cash back credit card available. Use credit wisely but know you do have the ability to make some serious cash back with many of these offers. Why not get something back for what you are spending?
