If you're looking for a simple credit card to help you build credit, the AvantCard Credit Card could be a great option. This card comes with a small annual fee of $59, but it is an unsecured credit card which means you won't have to put down a security deposit to get approved.
This card is available to consumers with less than great credit and it reports to all three major credit bureaus – that means that with responsible use, you could build your credit score over time.
There are also no foreign transaction fees with this card. That's a rare feature on cards available to consumers with less than great credit. Also, since this card is a Mastercard, you can rest assured that you'll be able to use it anywhere in the world where Mastercard is accepted. The ongoing APR is fairly high at 35.99% so it would be best to pay your balance off in full each month.
