The Citi ThankYou Premier card, from our partner Citi, is a well-rounded rewards credit card, especially for travel. Cardholders can kick off their rewards earning with 30,000 bonus points after they spend $3,000 with their card in the first three months. For ongoing rewards, you earn 3 ThankYou® points for every dollar spent on Travel (including gas), 2 ThankYou® points per dollar on Dining and Entertainment, and 1 ThankYou® point per dollar on all other purchases.
Your ThankYou® points have no expiration and there is no limit on the amount of points you can earn. Points can be redeemed in many ways including for merchandise, travel rewards, gift cards and more. You even have the ability to transfer your points to a number of popular airline frequent flyer programs and hotel loyalty accounts!
The annual fee is $95, but it is waived for your first year of membership. If you enjoy overseas travel, you’ll be happy to know that there are no foreign transaction fees with this card.
The Citi ThankYou Premier Card has everything you could want in a travel rewards credit card. A nice sign up bonus, great ongoing rewards, and flexixable points redemptions.
With 3x ThankYou points on Travel, including gas, and 2x points on Dining and Entertainment, the Citi ThankYou premier has one of the most generous ongoing rewards programs.
The 30,000 ThankYou point sign up bonus is a bit lower than some of it's competitors. Also, there's a $95 annual fee, but waived the first year.
