Secondary cardholders MUST be on the same itinerary as the primary card holder to enjoy the priority boarding and first free bag benefits. If the secondary cardholder books their own flight, no priority boarding and no free bag! Double miles and 50,000 mile bonus go to the primary card holder. Chase tells me (the secondary card holder) that the rental car insurance benefit does cover the secondary cardholder, even if the primary cardholder did not rent the car. Hope they're right, I don't want anymore surprises! Secondary cardholder did receive the two passes to the United Club.
