With the NetSpend Visa Prepaid Card you can deposit cash into your account and use it like a traditional bank card to make purchases or pay bills. There are no credit checks so even those with no credit history or bad credit can get approved for this card. The NetSpend Visa Prepaid Card looks like an ordinary credit card, but works like an ATM card because you load your own money onto the card. You can use their online account features and tools to manage your account and pay bills in easy, convenient ways.
You can select the fee plan that works best for you based on your spending habits, in order to minimize the transaction fees that are associated with carrying the card. Some fees include $2.50 ATM Fee per withdrawal; 0.50 cents charged for non-monetary ATM transactions like balance inquiries and non-monetary phone calls to customer service; a one-time $9.95 set up fee to open your account and get your plastic; and a monthly service charge, depending on your plan.
Cardholders can also track their spending and set budget limits with NetSpend's award-winning budgeting system, and they can do online bill paying to pay bills like cell phone or utility bills that occur each month.
This is a pretty straightforward prepaid card, except that it doesn’t have as many miscellaneous and costly fees that many other prepaid cards do have. You don’t need good credit or even a credit history to get approved for this card and it’s accepted wherever Visa is honored.
There is no need for a credit check or credit history, so virtually anyone can qualify for this card. It also charges less recurring or miscellaneous fees than many other types of prepaid cards.
You have to deposit money in order to have a line of credit to draw from, and you can’t build credit with prepaid cards.
