The primor® Secured Visa Gold Card was designed to give people with poor or limited credit a chance to boost their scores while they shop. It acts similar to a prepaid credit card, but the balance for the card is paid up front. This card reports to all three credit bureaus so it will help you build credit quickly with responsible use.
The primor® Secured Visa Gold Card can get you a credit limit of $200-$5,000 depending the amount of your savings deposit. The best part of this secured card is the super low interest rate that can’t be found on even the best unsecured credit cards on the market. The on-going interest rate is 9.99%.
Cardholders will need to open up an FDIC insured savings deposit with Berkshire Bank to secure the credit card with a credit limit equal to the amount of your savings.
The primor® Secured Visa Gold Card comes with few fees and since it’s a Visa, it’s accepted everywhere Visa is accepted.
The primor® Secured Visa Gold Card can help those who do not have good credit to get begin to rebuild it. Though the card does require you to put in a security deposit (acting as the "limit" on the card), the payments you make toward it are reported to the credit bureau. Once you keep up with those payments for six months to a year, you should be able to qualify for a different card.
The main benefit of the primor® Secured Visa Gold Card is that it allows cardholders a chance to build their credit. The interest rate remains at a competitive 9.99% and the fees are very similar to what you would find with an unsecured credit card.
This card does come with an annual fee of $49 each year.
