You only need average credit to qualify for the Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard, although it still has a great rewards rate including no annual fee. Cardmembers will earn one point per dollar on all purchases, plus double points (two per dollar) on items you already buy; gas, groceries, and utility purchases.
Reward points can easily be redeemed for credit to pay for anything you want, including retail shopping, restaurant dining, and travel on virtually any airline. Better yet, there are no redemption charges, there is no limit on how many points you can earn, and there are no blackout dates to limit your travel reservations.
Since this rewards card is available to consumers who don't have great credit, the ongoing APR is pretty high with 25.24% Variable. So we would recommend that you pay you balance in full each month to avoid interest charges.
This card requires only average credit -not excellent- but it also gives cardholders easy ways to earn rewards points and redeem them without annoying limitations and restrictions.
The rewards rate is really great, especially for someone with average credit. Cardmembers earn 2 points for purchases you already make, there's no annual fee.
With an ongoing APR of 25.24% Variable, this card isn't for people who tend to carry a balance. There's also a 3% foreign transaction fee, so we don't recommend using this card overseas.
