Help Get Obama Elected: Use Prepaid Credit Cards

Obama's campaign has received an unprecedented $100 Million in online credit card donations. The campaign is currently allowing payment of donations over the Internet from prepaid credit cards which increases the possibility of illegal donations or contributions from individuals above limits under campaign finance law.

Because the Obama campaign hasn't enforced basic security measures to prevent illegal or anonymous contributions, individuals can make multiple donations under the $2,000 threshold using fake names. This "small money" has led to tens of millions of dollars in contributions in recent weeks. These online contributions could be orchestrated from large unions, government contractors or foreign nationals interested in electing Obama as president.

Currently, the campaign is determining whether or not a contribution is improper only after the money has been deposited. Campaign finance experts claim that any potential retribution would come post-election in which a "for cause" audit is requested. Currently, there are no security checks in place to track the donations as they come in and the Obama campaign doesn't seem concerned whether the use of prepaid credit cards could be funneling millions in illegal donations.

Is this just another smear tactic, or is this a legitimate issue?

CompareCards.com Offers Textbook Scholarship Program

Today, CompareCards.com is proud to announce that the company is offering a scholarship program to help students defray some of the costs associated with college or graduate school. While many students are able to get good deals on text books for classes each semester, this is just one of many costs which may place a student in further loan debt.

By answering three questions, a deserving student  for fall 2008 and spring 2009 will receive their text books paid for by the company. "College should be about learning to function on your own and one part of this process is establishing new credit. We receive several comments from students about how they used a new credit card to buy textbooks. This is unfortunate because credit lines for students don't start very high, so students immediately begin their college career with a nearly maxed out credit card and in credit card debt", stated Chris Mettler, the President of CompareCards.com.
