The holiday season is generally a time of the year when consumers spend more money than usual. Between Christmas shopping and traveling to see family and friends, it can be a great time to apply for a new credit card and rack up some rewards on your holiday spending.

One particular reason you might want to apply for a new credit card is that there are a couple great offers for sign up bonuses on rewards credit cards. With all the holiday spending, consumers may find it easier to meet the minimum spending requirements needed to score those big bonuses.

Here are a few limited-time credit card sign-up bonuses that could get you some great rewards this holiday season:

British Airways Visa Signature® Card

This card offers a great sign up bonus that could earn you multiple free flights with British Airways or it's partner airlines. Cardholders can earn 50,000 bonus Avios after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening. You could redeem all of those Avios for multiple airline tickets to make next year’s holiday travels even cheaper. Furthermore, the British Airways Visa Signature® Credit Card has no foreign transaction fees so you won’t be hit with any pesky fees while traveling overseas. The annual fee on this card is $95.

Ink Plus® Business Credit Card

If you own a business but don’t have a business credit card yet, now is a great time to sign up for the Ink Plus® Business Credit Card while it has a limited-time increased sign-up bonus. New cardholders can earn 60,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 in this first 3 months. Since many business owners see an uptick in their expenses during the holiday season, now might be a great time to jump on this fantastic offer.

For ongoing rewards, you’ll earn 5X points per $1 on the first $50,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services each account anniversary year, and 2X points per $1 on the first $50,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and hotel accommodations when purchased directly with the hotel each account anniversary year. For all other purchases, you’ll earn a consistent 1 point per dollar.

Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® MasterCard®

As the biggest airline in the world, American Airlines has an excellent frequent flyer program that can save travelers a lot of money. The numerous credit cards affiliated with American Airlines have always been a great way to earn AAdvantage miles. New cardholders with the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® MasterCard® can earn 30,000 miles after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months. That’s enough miles for two round trip tickets within the continental U.S.! In addition to the 30,000 bonus miles, cardholders will earn 1 miles per dollar spent and double miles on eligible American Airlines purchases. There are no foreign transaction fees with this card and the $95 annual fee is waived the first year.

Of all the cards mentioned here, the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® MasterCard® requires the least amount of spending to earn the generous sign up bonus.
