Best Credit Cards for Nurses

As a nurse, you work hard, long hours and often times are paid little to do it. You deserve a break and a few benefits to help you, too. Finding the right credit card for a nurse does not have to be difficult. In fact, there are credit cards specific to the nursing community that you could benefit from. Many of the state and national nursing associations are teamed up with national credit card issuers to help you to get a credit card that fits your needs, as a nurse.

American Nursing Association

The American Nursing Association, ANA, represents the interests of the 2.9 million registered nurses in the United States, through 54 constituent member nurse associations. This organization works to lobby Congress and to work with regulating agencies to ensure that nurses have the best possible working condition. Moreover, because of that, it has partnered with numerous organizations to help you to find the credit card that fits your needs.

The ANA has a partnership with GE Money, to provide an attractive credit card offer to nurses in the country. You are able to earn points and redeem them for benefits like paying for your membership fee.

Other Card Offers

There are other specific nurse association credit card offers available to you, including:

  • The National Student Nurses Association Card
  • The Oncology Nurses Society Card
  • The Nursing WorldPoints Card
  • Registered Nurse Card

You can find a link to each of the individual application pages for your state's nursing association credit card listed below. The ANA sponsor each of these. These credit cards are administered through Bank of American and do come with the WorldPoints program.

Which Is the Right Card for You?

Look at the credit cards available to you through the ANA. Then, compare the features and benefits of these nurse credit cards to those unaffiliated with the ANA or other nursing associations. The bottom line is that you should always compare credit card offers by:

  • Rewards offered, including the cost of rewards programs.
  • Interest rates and membership/annual fees.
  • Credit limit availability/qualification to obtaining the card.

As a consumer and a nurse, realize that some of these credit cards are a great investment. Take the time to compare credit card offers carefully and then to apply to the right card right online. It has never been easier to find what you need.
