The Bottom Line

People who spend at least $150,000 a year on their plastic may find that the value of the rewards they can earn justify the outrageously high annual fee. For everyone else, this card is probably not even an option because it’s too costly and invitations to apply for it are rare.

The Good

Card membership offers perks such as free nights or upgrades at luxury hotels, a personal concierge to book travel reservations or do personal shopping, or the freedom to fly business class and bring half a dozen companions along for the ride. Earn one rewards point per dollar spent with the card, and then redeem them for benefits such as airfare on a private jet.
While it can take a long time to accumulate points at just one per dollar spend, Stratus allows cardholders to pool their points with friends and then redeem them collectively.

The Not So Good

There is a $1,500 annual fee for the Stratus Rewards Visa. If that isn’t a deal-breaker for you, you also have to be personally invited before you can even apply for the card. Until then, standard information such as the APR, fees, and rewards program details are a closely-held secret.
