The Bottom Line

The rewards accumulate slower than with many rewards programs. But thanks to the low APR so do the interest charges. That makes this a competitive card for anyone who wants to carry a balance on their plastic.

The Good

There is no annual fee, and cardholders earn one point for every dollar spent, with no limits on how much you can earn. The card also offers perks like travel accident and auto rental insurance coverage, and one of the lowest interest rates you’ll find on a credit card.
The APR for balance transfers and purchases is 9.17%. That is such a competitively low rate that it qualifies as one of the card’s most attractive selling points. By contrast, the APR rates on most cards are considered negative features because they are too expensive.

The Not So Good

The APR for cash advances is 18%, and there is a cash advance surcharge of either $5 or 2% per transaction, whichever is greater.  There is also a 2% foreign transaction fee.
