The Bottom Line

Those who shop at Amazon can earn rather generous points plus a $50 sign-up bonus, and those with excellent credit will also qualify for a reasonable 15.99%-23.99% variable. That makes this particular card an attractive option for those who frequently shop on Amazon.com.

The Good

There is no annual fee and a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card will be instantly loaded into your Amazon.com account upon the approval of your credit card application.

You earn a point for every dollar you spend with the card, with no minimum. 100 points is worth a dollar toward eligible purchases, cash back, gift cards, and more. You earn 3% back for each $1 of eligible Amazon.com purchases; 2% back for purchases at gas stations, drugstores, office supply stores, and restaurants; and 1% back for everything else.

The Not So Good

The APR for purchases and balance transfers is between 15.99%-23.99% variable, based on your creditworthiness, and the APR for cash advances is 26.74%. There is also a surcharge on balance transfers of either $5 or 5% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater. Similarly, there is a surcharge on cash advances of $10 or 5% of the transaction, whichever is greater. The fee for foreign transactions is 3% of the transacted amount.
