The Bottom Line

The card offers Sam’s Club members strong rewards for gasoline purchases, and also generous rewards for dining and traveling. There are some restrictions on how much you can earn, though, and outside of those three categories the cash back is not that generous, at only 1%.

The Good

There is no annual fee and you can earn 5% cash back on gasoline purchases (on the first $6,000 per year, then 1% after), 3% back on dining and travel purchases, and 1% back on everything else – at Sam’s Club or elsewhere.

The Not So Good

The variable purchase APR is 16.90% or 24.90%, depending upon your credit worthiness, so those with not-so-good credit face a rather steep APR.
