With the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, earn 40,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new card in your first 6 months. You can also earn Earn 2X Miles on Delta purchases, at restaurants worldwide, plus takeout and delivery in the U.S., and at U.S. supermarkets. Earn 1X Mile on all other eligible purchases. You'll also enjoy priority boarding and discounted access to Delta Sky Club.
Unlike other airlines, there's no blackout dates with Delta flights and your miles don't expire. Another great perk of this card is that each time you make a Delta reservation with your card you can check one bag for free on Delta flights. Cardholders will also enjoy Extended Warranty Protection, Roadside Assistance Hotline, Travel Accident Insurance, and 24/7 customer support.
There's no foreign transaction fees and a $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $99. The APR for purchases is a variable rate of 20.99%-29.99% Variable based on your creditworthiness and other factors.

The Bottom Line
For Delta airlines travelers, the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card is a good card for earning flight rewards and has some nice features that make it easy to earn points and keep them without fear of expiration. The Good
This card has a big welcome offer and allows you to earn Delta SkyMiles with every purchase. Plus, miles don't expire!
The Not so Good
There is an annual fee, although it is waived in the first year of membership. These miles also do not add up toward Medallion Qualification, which is the VIP Delta customer status, so if you want that feature then this card isn’t for you. There is also no intro APR offered to new customers.
