The Bottom Line

The card is a good way for those with fair or limited credit history to establish a financial record, but if you plan to carry a balance, the APR on this card can be quite high, especially without an established credit history.  The card offers a rewards program and starts you off with 1,000 bonus points after you make your first purchase and another 1,000 points for enrolling in e-statements and autopay.

The Good

You earn 1 point per $1 spent and five years to redeem your reward. You also get up to 2,000 additional points for signing up for e-statements, autopay, and after making your first purchase. Other perks include access to the interactive credit education website, 24-hour cardmember service, travel assistance, and free credit card checks. There is no annual fee and you may be excepted with limited or fair credit worthiness.

The Not So Good

The APR on purchases and balance transfers is 12.24% to 23.24%, depending upon your credit worthiness – and 24.24% for cash advances. As this card is directed at people who have a fair or limited credit history the possibility that you will be on the greater end of the APR range is high.
