Have you tried to redeem rewards points or cash back earned through your credit card, but were disappointed to learn you don’t have enough accumulated to meet your reward program’s minimum redemption limit?

The most common minimum redemption limit is $25, and is often a requirement for cash back, a statement credit, direct deposit, a gift card, or to offset travel expenses charged to your card. However, when redeeming points for merchandise or upcoming travel, such as flights and hotel stays, the minimum redemption value is often much higher and varies based on the cost of the trip and merchandise.

And if you have multiple credit cards, it can be confusing to keep track of the minimum redemption amounts for each card.

We’ve put together a list of the minimum redemption amounts for major issuers so you have a one-stop guide for when to redeem credit card rewards. Just know, since redemption minimums for travel and merchandise vary, they, along with issuer co-branded cards, aren’t included below. And, the redemption options listed below may vary and are subject to change without notice.

Beware: Redemptions for statement credit cannot be used to pay the minimum due on your account. For example, if your minimum due is $25 and you redeem $25 in rewards as a statement credit, you will still need to make the minimum $25 payment.
