The Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express provides numerous perks that benefit frequent Delta flyers, whether you fly within the U.S. or abroad. You can take advantage of priority boarding, get your first checked bag for free, discounts on eligible in-flight purchases and Delta Sky Club® access, and more.

This card was designed with Delta customers in mind, and is a great fit if you can afford the $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95. Otherwise, if you don’t fly Delta or want a card without an annual fee, look to other airline or travel credit cards. Also, since this is a travel card, you don’t have the flexibility to redeem miles for things like cash back or statement credit, so check out cash back cards if that’s what you’re more interested in.

To gain the most value from the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, use it for all Delta purchases so you can earn the higher rewards rate — just make sure you book your travel directly with Delta. While flying, charge eligible in-flight purchases on food, beverages, and audio headsets on this card to receive a 20% statement credit.
