While these cards typically offer cash back on every purchase and business-related benefits like year-end summaries, they may also offer free employee cards, 0% intro APRs on balance transfers and $0 annual fees.

Based on our research of cards available through CompareCards, as well as top cards offered by major issuers, we compiled a list of the best cashback business credit cards, based on the following categories:

Best flat-rate business credit card: Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business

If you don’t want the inconvenience of keeping track of bonus rewards categories or spending caps, you should take a look at a flat-rate cashback business credit card, like the Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business.

The card offers unlimited 2% cash back for your business on every purchase, everywhere. Plus, cardholders earn a one-time $500 cash bonus once you spend $4,500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening.

Best intro APR business credit card: Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card

If you need to finance a large business purchase and pay it off over time or transfer a high-interest balance from a different credit card, the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card may be a good fit.

The card comes with an intro APR on purchases of 0% for 12 Months. After that, an APR of 14.74% - 20.74% variable applies. The card also offers an intro APR of N/A on balance transfers, then a 14.74% - 20.74% variable APR will apply.

The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card lets cardholders earn $500 bonus cash back after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. The card also offers the following rewards rate: Earn 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year. Earn 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year. Earn 1% cash back on all other card purchases with no limit to the amount you can earn.

What to look out for. There is a cap on the amount of rewards you can earn at the higher cashback rate. In addition, the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card charges foreign transaction fees of 3% of each transaction in U.S. dollars for purchases made outside of the U.S.

Best business credit card: Discover it® Business Card

The Discover it® Business Card offers a solid cashback rewards rate and a variety of business benefits.

Cardholders can earn 1.5% cash back on every dollar spent on all purchases. Plus, for new cardmembers only, Get an unlimited dollar-for-dollar match of all the cash back you earn at the end of your first year, automatically. And no limit to how much we’ll match. So you could turn $350 cash back into $700 with Cashback Match™.

Best for flexible cashback earning: Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card

If you want some control over which categories your company earns cash back in, you may want to look at the Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card.

The Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card offers 3% cash back on your choice of one of the following six categories: gas stations, office supply stores, travel, TV/telecom & wireless, computer services or business consulting services, and 2% cash back on dining (on the first $50,000 each calendar year, then 1%. Earn an unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases.

Choice category options include gas stations (default), office supply stores, travel, TV/telecom and wireless, computer services and business consulting services. Note, you are allowed to change your choice category one time per calendar month.

The $0 annual fee card also offers a $300 statement credit when you make at least $3,000 in net purchases within 60 days of your account opening.

Additional Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card benefits:

  • Intro APR on purchases for 0% for 9 billing cycles, then 12.24% - 22.24% variable apr

Best business credit card to build credit: Capital One® Spark® Classic for Business

If you’re a business owner looking to build or establish credit, the Capital One® Spark® Classic for Business may be a good fit. The card, designed to help strengthen your business’s credit through responsible card usage, accepts cardholders with Fair/Limited credit. According to Capital One, this includes individuals who have defaulted on a loan in the past five years or those with limited credit history.

Additionally, the card comes with a $0 annual fee and a rewards rate of 1% cash back on every purchase.

Ultimately, the best cashback business credit card for you and your company comes down to how you plan to use the card. For example, if you want to finance a large business expense, such as office equipment or software, the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card is a good option. But if you want to choose which categories you can earn cash back in, the Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card may be a better fit.
