The The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® Credit Card offers 2 free nights at a Ritz-Carlton hotel in reward Tiers 1-4 as an introductory offer.

Ritz-Carlton has 5 reward tiers of hotels, so with this bonus you can get free nights at most of the luxurious Ritz-Carlton hotels other than the 15 properties in Tier 5. That opens up a lot of great values, since many of the Tier 4 properties cost over $500 per night.

We have checked Tier 4 Ritz-Carlton properties and determined some of the best hotels to use your free nights.

While all methods of determining the best values are flawed, we had two criteria.

First, the hotel had to be in an interesting place that is popular with the traveling public. Second, we considered the average cash price of the booking to make sure we would only suggest the properties that yield the best values for you.

Keep in mind that hotel rates fluctuate all the time and can differ from one booking website to another. Also remember that when you pay cash, you’re charged taxes on top of it. In the meantime, you don’t usually pay taxes on reward bookings.

Finally, while most of the hotels in this list belong to Tier 4, there are plenty of other great Tier 1-3 Ritz-Carlton properties worldwide offering fantastic values if you aren’t interested in a locale from our list.

Here are ten of the best Ritz-Carlton hotels for your free night certificates:

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, is a very popular destination hotel, and it’s easy to see why. Secluded and scenic, this Northern California resort is close to Santa Cruz, downtown San Francisco, and Napa Valley. The coastal setting and firepits (both communal and the ones on private terraces) make a great combination for a romantic getaway, and if you’re into golf, you will appreciate its two champion courses. Booked for cash, the resort can run you from $556 to $871 per night.

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

Tourists love San Francisco, but it’s a city where even a modest 3-star hotel can run you $300 to $500 a night. Your free 2 nights Ritz-Carlton certificate will not only take a bite out of this pain, but it’ll put you in the only AAA 5-Diamond hotel in the city, right next to a cable car stop. Housed in a historic 1909 building, the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco is located in scenic Nob Hill. The guests are entitled to free rides within a 1-mile radius. This hotel can cost between $420 and $759 per night.

The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles

The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles is located in Los Angeles downtown and in close proximity to the STAPLES Center. Set within the L.A. LIVE Entertainment Complex, this stylish and luxurious hotel offers a heated rooftop swimming pool and jacuzzi, a fitness center with yoga classes, and Wolfgang Puck’s WP24 restaurant. Enjoy great city and mountain views and a sense of serenity right in the middle of a very dynamic and vibrant city. L.A. LIVE provides easy access to cultural venues, clubs, restaurants, and nightlife, including the unique GRAMMY Walk of Fame, the Microsoft Theatre, nightclubs, bowling alleys, and more. From $518 to $685.

The Ritz-Carlton, Boston

This hotel overlooking Boston Common, the country’s oldest public park, puts you close to almost everything the city has to offer: theater and financial districts, the Freedom Trail, Beacon Hill, and other historical attractions. Have a drink in the 1950s-style Avery Bar, visit the adjacent Equinox Sports Club and spa, or enjoy the million-dollar art collection right inside the hotel itself. You will save from $583 to $632 per night (July 2018).

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, DC

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. just underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation that has turned it into one of the most elegant, luxurious properties in the Capitol. Set in a historic industrial building near Dupont Circle, it’s within walking distance of the Metro, the White House, and historical monuments, as well as the endless dining and nightlife options of Georgetown and the West End. The cash rates would set you back from $322 to $391 per night.

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park

The Ritz, Battery Park is one of 2 NYC Tier 4 Ritz-Carlton hotels and it’s located along the waterfront, right outside the Hudson River Walk and Battery Park. It’s close to Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial, and South Street Seaport. A short subway ride will take you to Soho, Tribeca, and other trendy neighborhoods for more dining and nightlife, while a ferry can take you to South Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Some rooms feature harbor and Statue of Liberty views and are equipped with telescopes. From $368 to $586.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is a gorgeous oceanfront resort, surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, tropical rainforests, and ocean views. You can spend your day hiking through the rainforest, lying on a golden-sand beach, playing golf on one of the 2 championship courses, or snorkeling in the crystal-clear ocean waters. Or just sit with a book on your balcony and enjoy the peace and quiet without even leaving your room. The cost is $587 per night in July 2018.

The London EDITION

The London EDITION is a boutique luxury hotel located on the border of Soho and the bohemian district of Fitzrovia, famous for its art galleries, shopping, and dining. It’s close to the British Museum, Covent Garden, Regent’s Park, and famous Charlotte Street, renowned for its world-class gastronomy. That’s if you even make it that far, because the EDITION’s own Berners Tavern Restaurant is run by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jason Atherton. Pricey, but you will be saving from $390 to $584 per night.

Hotel Arts Barcelona

Rising 44 floors above the Mediterranean, Hotel Arts Barcelona is not only visually striking, but it has one of the best locations in Barcelona, too. You’re just steps away from the beach, the Aquarium, the Zoo, the Museu Picasso, and a 30-minute walk to Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. If you don’t feel like leaving the hotel grounds, that’s fine. The hotel boasts a pool set amidst beautiful gardens, and the Michelin 2-starred Enoteca restaurant. $500 per night.

The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

The Ritz-Carlton Vienna is the only Tier 3 Ritz on our list, but that doesn’t mean it’s a “lesser” Ritz than others. Located on the famous Ringstrasse and adjacent to Stadtpark, it’s close to some of the most important sights in Vienna – the museum quarter and opera house – and it’s within a 10-15 minute walk to the canal and the city center. Prior guests praise the hotel’s facilities and customer service. If you’ve always wanted to swim in a pool with underwater music or take waltz lessons in a luxurious hotel lobby, this is your chance. $516 per night.
