My credit is not so good so no one will approve me

Hello, I saw your comment about getting your credit back on track. I had to do the same thing after my divorce. My credit was a mess. I started out with a $200 credit line with a $50 membership fee. Which I made payments on. Check with a couple cards. Bank of America and citi bank seem to be the most flexible. hope This helps good luck!!!

I am thinking about this Chase Freedom card because I like the commercial song (with George Michael). That is the wrong reason to get a credit card but I hear the Freedom has excellent cash rewards.

I have had good cridet scores for 10 yrs or more I just dident have credit aaaan so far I am looseing points on my scores from different comp".s asking for my scores.when I tell them I have no credit,no bad credit,I just ask for 5000,00 credit card .You think if I ask for 500,000,00 they would be more polite, they think I am rich or something.Iam just a disabled that needs credit.

I too am a person with disabilities. I have been in the same place as you. I found many options on the gouvernment site for disabled people, and if you are a disabled veteran, I believe that there is so much more help for you. I am looking into housing and it is very difficult and frustrating. Just keep looking , go to the info local telephone @ #211 and you may find some help there also. Good Luck

Is Visa a good card to use?

By: CompareCards | Jun 22, 2015

Hi Johanna,

Visa is the largest credit card processor in the world, so they offer many of the top credit cards on the market. You will be hard pressed to find a place that accepts credit cards, but won't take a Visa. Furthermore, if a card is a Visa Signature, it will offer additional benefits like Lost Luggage Reimbursement, Warranty Manager Service, Year-End Summary Statements and many more. Be sure to check out our Visa credit cards page to see all of the options!

It is not necessarily the name of the card. What you need to be careful of it the interest rate on the credit card. Visa and Master Card are great cards.

I and my wife had capital one credit card and they sent out letter's to both of us and said that they had to raise are interest rate from 7.9% to 17.90 because of the recession... Even though we were in very good standings with there company...Never again I now hold a credit card with chase that is 11.9% with excellent credit!!!

Can you tell me which Chase card you have? My husband and I have excellent credit as well but we have not been able to find a card with a rate that low.

By: Ruben Rodriguez Sr. | Jun 26, 2015

Capital One ? They take advantage from those that have a poor credit ! They started me with 300.limit, the automatically they increased to 700.00, six years later I still had the same, even that I requested an increase. They always turn me down! Finally I closed it! My lowest limit on 4 others cards, including Chase, is $8,000.00 Now they are trying to get me back, but still they only offer 300.00 limit! "I have seven inquiries on my credit report, 5 from Capital One! "without my consent".

I tried the CITI MasterCard and would recommend it to anyone. This was an excellent choice to give me time to pay off my bills without an interest charge adding to them every month and has saved me a lot of money!!

0% Credit Cards & Interest Free Credit Cards

Low interest rate (or 0%) credit cards can save you hundreds of dollars on balance transfers and on routine purchases carried over as credit card balances. Or you may simply want to be rewarded with a preferential interest rate as acknowledgement for good credit history and responsible debt management. Whatever your goals or motivation, zero percent or low interest credit cards can help you maintain the lowest rates available to individuals with excellent to good credit. You can find out more about credit score here.

Keep in mind that there are two main categories of low rate credit cards, namely those that offer a Variable APR and those that give you a Fixed APR.  Just like with variable versus fixed rate mortgages, a fixed rate APR will remain relatively stable through the course of the loan. If your card company decides to raise it – which is somewhat rare – they will first notify you of that change according to Federal law requirements. With a variable rate, your APR is tied to a prevailing rate such as the Prime Interest Rate. If the prime rate increases then your APR will most likely follow in a similar fashion.

Generally speaking, credit card companies and banks will extend either 6 or 21 month offers – within the 0% to 3.99% annual interest rate range. That can generate a considerable discount when normal APRs are averaging around 15% or higher. Once the introductory promotional period expires, the APR on a low interest credit card or interest free credit card may revert to the regular interest rate. Of course the ideal balance is a credit card that offers a great near term rate followed by an attractive, competitively priced low interest rate for the long term.

The interest rate charged on your credit card is widely regarded as the single most important component of your card. That’s because it determines the major cost for you to borrow or roll over balances and pay them off over time instead of all at once or within the same month that you make purchases. That’s why getting a zero percent or low interest credit card can be huge financial boon, no matter what your credit card usage patterns or money management strategies may be.

Reviews
" " CompareCards says issuers are providing such generous deals, they're virtually irresistible for those willing to switch.

" " Those who always pay their balances in full and on time will usually come out ahead.

" " The offers on the credit card landscape are constantly changing which is great news for consumers.

" " In the future, the companies that will thrive are those able to give customers exactly what they want, the way they want it, when they want it.

" " CompareCards was one of three sites that met all the criteria.
