ARE THERE ANY CREDIT CARDS THAT OFFER A MONEY CASH LOAN AT TEASER RATES I.E. 2%????

By: CompareCards | Sep 22, 2015

Hi Andy,

Are yo referring to a cash advance? If so, credit cards are typically a pretty costly when it comes to cash advances and there aren't any cards that offer introductory rates or ongoing rates as low as 2%. One option to consider is the Barclaycard Ring MasterCard; this card offers a low 8% APR on cash advances and a flat fee of $3 per cash advance.

I am curious and have been reading the previous comments trying to determine the best avenue to try. I am wanting a card or loan that gives me the access to @ $1,400 at the first of each month then I will make $350 payments each week. The benefit of this to me is saving time each week paying bills and if I get too busy to pay bills each week I don't fall into a late fee for that bill if that happens. I understand this will cost me some interest or fees which I hope to make this up on the 5 week pay months. Any suggestions?

Hi Beth,

Depending on your credit score, there are a number of card that could be a good fit for your situation. The Citi Simplicity offers 0% APR for 21 months on new purchases as well as balance transfers. Also, if you have good credit, but not quite excellent, the Chase Slate and the Chase Freedom both offer 15 months with 0% APR.

Hi Shelene,

Any credit card will report to the credit bureaus and help you build credit as long as you use it responsibly. However, which card you can get approved for will depend on your credit worthiness.

By: Norma Rodriguez | Sep 19, 2015

Hi Shelene, You can apply for a secured card which requires a previous deposit. I recomend Capital one secured card requires a previous $49 for The deposit +$30 membership fee discounted from your credit line and annual fee of $29. The credit line will be 200 dollars and if you did it good they will increase the line after 2 months up to 500. Good luck.

By: Nancy Kirby | Sep 30, 2015

Shelne If you have no credit and no bad credit against you, a plain capital one is a good place to start.

People to people loaning I think it is a great idea ,many ppl can't qualify for bank cards for whatever reason and if u can get one the interest is ridiculous.I have heard of this that other countries do this for a smaller interest rate.If I was financially able I would do this Why should the banks get all that interest?

By: Staci James | Sep 14, 2015

Hi Zeny

As long as you're paying your bills on time, any credit card will help you build credit. One option for you to consider is the Capital One Secured MasterCard. You'll have to put down a refundable security deposit to get approved, but it has no annual fee and after you use it responsibly for about a year, you should be able to get approved for a standard, unsecured credit card.

0% Credit Cards & Interest Free Credit Cards

Low interest rate (or 0%) credit cards can save you hundreds of dollars on balance transfers and on routine purchases carried over as credit card balances. Or you may simply want to be rewarded with a preferential interest rate as acknowledgement for good credit history and responsible debt management. Whatever your goals or motivation, zero percent or low interest credit cards can help you maintain the lowest rates available to individuals with excellent to good credit. You can find out more about credit score here.

Keep in mind that there are two main categories of low rate credit cards, namely those that offer a Variable APR and those that give you a Fixed APR.  Just like with variable versus fixed rate mortgages, a fixed rate APR will remain relatively stable through the course of the loan. If your card company decides to raise it – which is somewhat rare – they will first notify you of that change according to Federal law requirements. With a variable rate, your APR is tied to a prevailing rate such as the Prime Interest Rate. If the prime rate increases then your APR will most likely follow in a similar fashion.

Generally speaking, credit card companies and banks will extend either 6 or 21 month offers – within the 0% to 3.99% annual interest rate range. That can generate a considerable discount when normal APRs are averaging around 15% or higher. Once the introductory promotional period expires, the APR on a low interest credit card or interest free credit card may revert to the regular interest rate. Of course the ideal balance is a credit card that offers a great near term rate followed by an attractive, competitively priced low interest rate for the long term.

The interest rate charged on your credit card is widely regarded as the single most important component of your card. That’s because it determines the major cost for you to borrow or roll over balances and pay them off over time instead of all at once or within the same month that you make purchases. That’s why getting a zero percent or low interest credit card can be huge financial boon, no matter what your credit card usage patterns or money management strategies may be.
