I have an excellent+ credit rating. I have had my current cards for many years and am looking to get something with more "perks" than with the ones I have had for so long. I have earned the privilege of having the best card out there from responsible credit use. What cards are the best all around???

Finding the best rewards card for you will depend on what kind of rewards you are looking for. If you're interested in travel rewards, the Discover It Miles or the Chase Sapphire Preferred are both excellent options. For cash back, check out the Citi Double Cash or the Discover It Cashback Match. Check out the Rewards Credit Cards page to see all the best options!

What can you tell me about the Barclaycard Ring? I recently received a solicitation with 8.25% interest, no annual fee and no balance transfer fee.

The Barclaycard Ring MasterCard is truly an excellent credit card if you're looking for no fees and low interest. As you said it comes with 8.25% APR, which is among the lowest ongoing APRs on the market! There is also no annual fee and no balance transfer fee!

What does it do to your credit score if you transfer to a different card?

The effect that transferring a balance to another credit card will have on your credit score can vary depending on your situation. Opening a new credit card account may have a very slight and temporary negative impact on your score from the hard inquiry required to process your application. However, if you use a balance transfer credit card to pay off your debt, it could raise your credit score significantly because you will be reducing your total amount owed and your credit utilization rate.

Pay your balance off in full every month and never pay a cent of interest. It's the only way to really take advantage of rewards credit cards.
