From the CompareCards.com Editorial Team: The Miles by Discover Card is Discover’s answer to customers who like the Discover travel cards such as the Escape card, but they do not like having to pay an annual fee. This card, the Miles, does not carry any membership fee and Discover typically offers newcomers a great 0% APR for the first six billing cycles. Plus you can earn 12,000 bonus milesat a rate of 1,000 each month if you just make a purchase each of your first 12 months. So there are lots of user-oriented incentives to apply for the Miles by Discover Card. There are also no restrictions on travel in terms of which airlines, travel agents, or online travel booking sites you can use. Once you get the card you can earn double miles on your first $3,000 in travel and restaurant purchases each year, plus 1 mile for each $1 you spend on all other purchases.
