The Capital One Journey Student card is tailored to the student who wants to earn cash back while also earning a solid credit history through responsible credit card use and financial management. Although you have to have decent credit in order to be eligible for this card, those who have a good track record will find it a solid choice – especially as they build their credit. You can get free text and email alerts sent to you to help you monitor your account, for example, and you will earn a huge 25% bonus on your cash back rewards by paying your bill on time.
There is no annual membership fee and cardholders get 1% back on every purchase. Accumulated cash rewards don’t expire, either, and there is no limit to the amount of cash you can earn. The earned cash can be redeemed by check or as a credit deposited to your account.
