From the CompareCards.com Editorial Team: TheChase Hyatt Visa Credit Card is the perfect card for those who stay in Hyatt hotels and enjoy their worldwide vacation properties. There are no limits to the points you can earn, and you earn triple Hyatt Gold Passport points for every dollar spent with the card at Hyatt properties, plus one point per dollar everywhere else. There are also no foreign transaction fees. After making just one purchase with the Hyatt card you receive bonus Award Nights good at Hyatt properties worldwide. The Hyatt rewards program membership bonuses are based on the card member’s status at the time they apply for the credit card. New members and Gold Members receive two Award Nights, while Platinum Members get two Award Nights plus two suite upgrades. Diamond Members are given two Award nights in a suite. Every year you’ll also receive another anniversary award night, just for keeping your card membership active. By carrying the card, members automatically enjoy the same perks and status available to Platinum Status Hyatt members. They are entitled, for example, to express check-in at a dedicated area for elite members and they can extend their stay until 2 p.m. for late checkout. Complimentary Internet access is another feature, as are upgrades to higher floors and larger rooms when those are available. One of the most useful and innovative features of this card is that it incorporates high-tech smart chip protection. Consumers who do not have this new smart chip technology may find that their cards don’t work in swiping terminals or ATM machines across Europe, in Asia, or elsewhere. Chip-enhanced cards are also much safer because they are harder for thieves to crack, making them the best possible choice for anyone concerned with financial safeguards and identity theft protection. There is a $75 dollar annual fee, but no foreign transaction fee – which is another big plus for overseas travelers. |
