The Bottom Line

If you're not loyal to GM brands then this card won't be a great fit for you. As the GM Extended Family Card is intended to assist in financing a GM automobile purchase. The earnings of 1% can be redeemed at GM dealerships across the country.

The Good

This card offers an introductory APR on purchases of 0% for the first 12 months and has no annual fee. In addition, any balance transfer made will not incur a fee and the balance transfer APR is low to moderate at 12.15%, 16.15% or 20.15%, based on your creditworthiness.

The Not So Good

The penalty APR and fee for late payments has the potential to really add up with this card. Unfortunately the introductory APR offer is only for purchases and not balance transfers.
