The Bottom Line

This is a good credit card to build credit with. All payments are reported on your credit, so you can quickly quialify for something else. The fees for the card are high, so you must be prepared for that. If money is no issue though, you should have no trouble with this card at all.

The Good

The First Premier Gold Card offers an unsecured line of credit. That means that you don't have to put a deposit down to create a spending limit on your card. The approval process is fast, and the customer support center is open at all times. Using the card will be a breeze.

The Not so Good

The costs for this card are its downfall. $75 for the first year, then $45 a year after that in annual fees. Tack on $6.25 a month after the first year and $95 for an initial processing fee. You may need to look for a cheaper card once you start building your credit up.

Have bad credit or no credit at all? The First Premier Bank Gold Credit Card may be just right for you. It offers a $300 unsecured line of credit for qualifying applicants, with opportunities for an increase after the first year. The only problem is that this card does cost a lot to maintain.

With a $95 processing fee, this card can be costly from the start. Add to that a $75 annual fee for the first year, a $45 annual fee after that, and a $6.25 monthly fee after the first 12 months. This card has a very high APR of 36%, and it has a 5% cash advance fee. Long story short, it may not be friendly to your wallet right away.

With this in mind, the First Premier Gold Card can provide you with a chance to build your credit score for the future. Keep that in mind as you assess your options.
