If you spend enough to earn all the bonuses, and are a loyal customer of Carlson Hotels, this card offers some attractive rewards.
You earn six rewards points per $1 spent at participating Carlson hotel locations and 3 points per $1 spent on everything else.
You can also receive up to 60,000 bonus points. You get 50,000 after your first purchase, plus 10,000 more if you spend at least $1,500 on your card within the first 90 days of card membership.
In addition, you receive 25,000 renewal bonus points annually, as a reward for remaining a cardholder. Plus, if you charge $10,000 or more per year to your card to earn a free night.
Cardholders also have access to special Visa Signature perks, which are VIP-style features that include such things as personalized concierge service and travel assistance.
The Not So Good
The annual fee is $50. The purchase and balance transfer APR is 14.24% to 23.24%, based on your credit worthiness, and the APR for cash advances is 25.24%.
There is a surcharge on balance transfers of either 3% or $5, whichever is greater, and for cash advances the surcharge is 4% or $5, whichever is greater. There is a foreign transaction fee of 2% for transaction in US dollars, and a 3% fee for those transacted in foreign currencies.
