From the Editorial Team

The Chase Freedom Unlimited card is the latest addition to Chase's already robust list of rewards credit cards. This card offers an unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase, everyday. Your cash back earnings are automatic, so you don't have to worry about signing up or enrolling in any special bonus programs. As a welcome bonus to new cardholders, you can earn $150 bonus cash after spending $500 with the card in the first 3 months from account opening.

There is also no annual fee with this credit card, so you can earn rewards without having to ever pay a membership fee. Another perk of the rewards program is that you don't have to wait until you've accumulated a certain amount of cash back before you can redeem your rewards; you can redeem your cash back for any amount, anytime.

In addition to the generous rewards program, cardholders will enjoy 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases and balance transfer. After the intro period is up, the ongoing APR will be 14.24%-23.24% Variable. Overall, the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card is an excellent offer for consumers who want to earn a flat rewards rate on every purchase without paying an annual fee.

The Bottom Line

This card earns cosistent rewards on every purchases and it also come with no annual fee and a nice intro APR on purchases and balance transfers.

The Good

The $150 sign up bonus is higher than most cash back cards, and you'll also earn a better than average rewards rate on all purchases.

The Not so Good

The ongoing APR is a little higher than normal, so it's best to avoid carrying a balance with this credit card. Also, there is a 3% foreign transaction fee, so you may want to refrain from using this card overseas.

I have been with the Chase Visa Freedom card since 1993 and must admit it has been very perfect, there have been 5 or 6 times that they have called me to ask about an attempt to purchase something that didn't seem to be right, each time they were right doing a very good job checking on whatever appears to be an attempt for someone to illegally use our CC number!!!!!! That is very impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had this card for a while now and it has never let me down. I love the rewards I get with this card especially since the 1.5% cash back is unlimited and the rewards do not expire. The Chase website and app are also simple and easy to use to check your balance or make your payments which is another plus in favor of this card.
