From the CompareCards.com Editorial Team: For those who like to travel on British Airways, this card from Chase offers plenty of ways to do so by earning generous rewards. You can earn 100,000 miles in total by qualifying for the 50,000 bonus miles offered after your first eligible purchase and combining those with another 50,000 that Chase will give you if after you spend at least $2,500 during the first three months that you have the card. That roughly translates into enough miles to take two flights overseas, which is a pretty good deal. Meantime you earn 2.5 miles for each dollar you spend on British Airways purchases and 1.25 miles for every dollar spend on everything else. Best of all, if you spend $30,000 in any given year you will be rewarded with a voucher for British Airways travel that you can cash in for a companion ticket. The voucher is good for two years before it expires, and it entitles you to bring along a companion when you fly British Airways. They come along for free on the same flight, in the same seating class as you. You have to pay a $95 annual membership fee, but that is easily offset by the bonuses you can accrue by signing up and using the card. So for those who want rewards that are specific to this particular airline the British Airways Visa Signature Card may be just the ticket. |
