The Bottom Line

You can earn cash back rewards and enjoy a low introductory APR. For those who want to support the Arbor Day Foundation, this card may be worthy of consideration.

The Good

There is a low 1.99% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers, for the first six months of card membership. After than the rate is between 12.49%  and 18.49%, and the lower ranges are reasonable.
Card members can receive a copy of the book, “What Tree Is That,” there is no annual fee, and they earn unlimited 1% cash back plus 2% or 3% cash back in specific purchase categories. Earn 3% cash back for every dollar in interest you accrue on your monthly balances.

The Not So Good

If your credit is not that great you’ll pay an APR of 18.49%, which is not cheap. The cash advance APR is 25.49%, and there is a surcharge of $10 or 5% of the amount of each balance transfer or cash advance, whichever is greater. There is also a foreign transaction fee of 1% for each transaction in U.S. dollars and of 2% for transactions made in foreign currencies.
