• Contestants must submit a word document or a PDF,  500 - 1000 word essay that answers the question "why I need help from CompareCards to pay off my credit card debt."

• Submit your essays by 11:59 pm EST on July 28th, 2012.
• The CompareCards.com team will choose a winner based on the essay they feel best answers the question.

Here is how you can win the $1,000 prize:

• Take the essay you submitted for the $2,000 grand prize, and publish it on your personal blog or a friend/ family member's blog for a chance to win a $1,000 random drawing!
• Link Back To the CompareCards Site So We Can Track Your Entry! Posts that do not link back to CompareCards will be considered ineligible for the random drawing.
• NOTE: To make sure we don’t miss you entry, contestants must alert CompareCards.com of their post through an email to chrissy@comparecards.com by 11:59 pm EST on May 30th, 2012. If you email Chrissy, please include name "CompareCards.com Essay Contest" in the email subject.
• The blog or website in which you are linking to CompareCards.com must be at least 1 month old.
