REVIEW:
This card has many great benifits and the customer service is excellant; however, my start-up was short lived. They claim that they do not have an intial start up limit, but when I began using the card exclusively, they declined my usage on two occasions. You would think that if you have the credit rating required to recieve a PLATINUM card, you should be able to have a large monthly allowance. After talking to customer service, they say that they actually do not have a "no intial start up limit" So, I concider that false advertising. They say, "well, we base that on your monthly usage". Well, thats not true either. They declined my card the first time at $4,300. I payed the balance off early, then one week later, they declined it again while I was grocery shopping. I called them up. My balance was $2,200. Half of what they stopped it for the prior week. Note: This is a new card, two months old, they said I had exceeded my monthly allowance. Who are they to say how much I can spend? How am I going to set up a median usage if they keep cutting me off? I guess I should have applied for the BRONZE card, not the PLATINUM card. I closed my account after that. I was really excited to have the card, but the hastles of them declining my usage was embarassing and inconveniant. Anyone who makes over $70,000 a year and has a family of four, is going to spend $5k a month. And what about Christmas on top of that. Theres another 3-5K. And what if i want to buy that new guitar for 10k, forget that too. Guess I'll have to use my Mastercard instead. No problems or hastles there. I was truely disappointed, thought we would have a great relationship. Guess I wont be needing those private jet beni's after all.
I definitely would not recommend this card to a friend.
