REVIEW:
I have had and used this credit card for 2 years now. I managed to apply for it early on in my credit history, so I looked like a potentially high risk borrower. I personally have never had to pay interest on any credit card balance...and a good thing, too, because this card will keel-haul you if you do.
What's REALLY amazing about this card is its rewards: you get 2% cashback on any absolutely any purchase you make, up to $300 per year (I think that's the limit). Much like any other cashback program, you can withdraw in integer multiples of $25. On their website, you just click a button, and it sends you a check to your address. Changing your address is easy to do, too.
I want to emphasize how amazing 2% cashback really is. You see some credit cards advertising 3% cashback on certain purchases or things like that, but 1% on the majority of the purchases you make. A lot of those cards charge you a fee just for having the card, taking away from the rewards that you get. This card charges NO fee, and you rake in plentiful amounts of money without much effort. I've seen a blog before where a person went through tremendous effort and several cards to effectively get an average 2.5% cashback on all purchases with an array of credit cards for various occasions, but you really have to wonder if the extra 0.5% is worth that much stress and hassle.
It was also easy to have this credit agency withdraw money from my primary bank's checking account to pay off the balance each month. They send you a reminder email every month when you need to pay it off...and getting it paid off takes ~5 minutes for me. Not bad at all. BUT, you DO need to pay it off RIGHT when they send you that email...there's a delay in processing and transferring of when you select to pay it off until the time that it's actually paid of...so if you're more than a few days late on catching it, you'll have to pay an extra $15 in rush processing to get it through. It's something I'm not happy about, but even though I've had to do that a couple of times, I've still earned MUCH more money than it has cost me.
The bottom line: if you're just starting out in your credit card adventure, or you've never had a credit card with a high limit, AND YOU NEVER KEEP A BALANCE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD, *get this card*. If you are not this person, *stay away*. It really is that black and white with this deal.
I definitely would recommend this card to a friend.
