Overall

The Bottom-Line

A very good rewards and balance transfer card for anyone with very good credit and a desire to enjoy Platinum Card benefits such as free online account access, travel accident insurance and more.

The Good

The list of good about this card is considerable. Qualified applicants get 12 months at 0% APR and can earn 1 point for every $1 spent redeemable for merchandise, travel, and more.

The Not So Good

Length of introductory APR is based on review of credit history and APR may be higher depending on credit score; there is a cap of 60,000 points that may be earned per year and points expire after 5 years.

CARD DESCRIPTION

The Chase Platinum Visa® Card is one of the best reward and balance transfer cards available.  Not only will qualified applicants get a full twelve months of 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers, they’ll also begin earning 1 point for every dollar spent which can redeem for merchandise, travel, gift cards and more.

In keeping in the tradition of the Chase card line, this is a great card with a fairly easy acceptance rate if you have the qualifying credit score. It is important to know that the Chase Platinum Visa is not a rewards card. There are other valuable rewards cards from Chase but this card is not one of them.

If you're looking for a solid balance transfer card and you have very good credit, you will enjoy the Chase Platinum Visa. You get 0% APR for up to the first 12 months that you have your card and balance transfer fees are capped at $75. Your credit history will affect the period of time in which you take advantage of the 0% APR intro rate.

You can get free online account access as well as many other features such as free travel services, auto rental collision damage and worldwide travel accident insurance, making this a great credit card for people who do a lot of traveling. Points will expire after 5 years giving you a considerable amount of time in which to redeem your points.
