When you need roadside assistance, AAA is there to make matters better. This company has become the leading source for emergency car repairs in America, and it has been around since 1902. If you are one of the 50 million AAA members in the country, you may consider getting the AAA Member Rewards Visa Credit Card. You might earn enough points to cover your membership fees every year.
Check out this AAA Member Credit Card review to see if this card will work well for you.
AAA Member Rewards Visa Card Features
Here are some of the most important features of the AAA Member Credit Card:
- 3 points per $1 spent on AAA Club purchases
- 2 points for every $1 spent on gas, groceries, or drug store purchases
- 1 point per $1 spent on everything else
- Lost luggage insurance
- Up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance
- Auto rental damage waiver
- Emergency card replacement
- 2,500 bonus points after the first purchase
- 12.99% to 22.99% APR
- No annual fee
The AAA Members Rewards Credit Card is a surprisingly good rewards card as a whole, which I can't say about most of the company-specific cards we review. For instance, we just reviewed the Big O Tires Credit Card and found that it offered little more than any other card on the market. With AAA though, you could see legitimate benefits from frequent use.
You may not get much out of the 3 points per AAA $1, but you could easily rack up a lot of rewards with gas, grocery and pharmacy purchases. You can use those rewards to pay for your annual membership fees or to get special deals on vacations, food and more. In some cases, you can also get cash back to use however you want. The travel accident insurance and rental car damage waiver are enough to make this card worth keeping. Certainly think about it if you are a AAA member.
Of course, there is a big catch to this card. In order to use the AAA Member Rewards Visa Card, you have to actually be a AAA member. A lot of people don't like the idea of paying an annual fee for roadside assistance when they might be able to get it from their vehicle manufacturer or insurance provider. If you don't want to be a AAA member, this isn't the card for you. For others though, it's a great addition to your wallet.
Would we recommend the AAA Member Rewards Visa Credit Card? Absolutely. It has a great rewards program, no annual fee, low interest, and a slew of complementary services to enjoy. Plus, you can get a discount on just about anything if you're a AAA member, like hotel rooms, car insurance, car repairs, and more. 50 million members can't be wrong -Apply to be one of them!
