I have a 742 credit score. I am looking to transfer a balance of about $7,000. The balance is on a chase card, so the Chase Slate is not an option for me. I am looking for no or very low balance transfer fee and no interest for at least 9 months, preferably more than a year. I also need a card that does not require you to pay off the balance each month to maintain 0% interest. (i.e. the Citi Double Cash- if I could pay it off next month I wouldn't need the balance transfer).

With a score of 742, your credit is considered good/excellent and you have a good chance of getting approved for a good balance transfer credit card. The Chase Slate is the only card that offers no intro balance transfer fee and a 0% intro APR over a year. Another good balance transfer option for you would be the Citi Simplicity or the Citi Diamond Preferred. Each of these cards offer 0% intro APR for 21 months on balance transfers!

With a credit score in the low 600s your credit is considered poor/fair. Check out out pages for credit cards for poor credit and credit cards for credit cards for fair credit to see all the best options!

How do I transfer the balances of credit cards? I have about 2300 in cards and my score is low

If you have a low credit score, it may be difficult for you to get approved for the best balance transfers credit cards. One good option for balance transfers that is available for consumers with fair credit is the Capital One QuicksilverOne!

I am looking for a card with no fee for transfers. The only one I see on this site is Chase Slate, and I already have a card with them - so they can't help me. Do you know of others with no transfer fee?

The Chase Slate is certainly an excellent option for a balance transfer credit card, but unfortunately, you cannot transfer a between credit cards issued by the same bank. Two other cards that have no balance transfer fee are the Barclaycard Ring MasterCard and the Capital One QuicksilverOne.

I need to transfer about $7,500 (2 cards) to consolidate & save interest/money. Credit score is 725. Would like 0% on transfer for 18-21 months with no annual fee & no balance transfer fee. Which card would you suggest for/with such options?

There is not one card that meets all of the criteria you are looking for, but a few credit cards come very close! The Citi Diamond Preferred and Citi Simplicity each have 0% intro APR for 21 months, but they also come with a 3% balance transfer fee. Another great choice is the Chase Slate card which offers 0% intro APR for 15 months and no fee for balance transfers made within the first 60 days! All of these cards have no annual fee, and with a score in the mid 700s you have a good shot of getting approved!

I have a credit score of 783. CC balance is $6,200. I want to transfer balance to another card. It would be great to also get rewards. What do you suggest?

With a credit score in the high 700s, your credit is considered excellent and you have a good chance of getting approved for any card you like. Two credit cards that are both great options for balance transfers and earning cash back on purchases are the Citi Double Cash and the Discover It. Both cards offer generous cash back rewards and 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 18 months.

With the Chase Slate card, can you transfer balances from other Chase cards?

By: CompareCards | Nov 2, 2016

You cannot transfer a balance to the Chase Slate card from another Chase card. This rule is not specific to Chase credit cards; as an industry rule you cannot transfer credit balance between credit cards issued by the same banks.

I have a credit score of 650 and I want to transfer $6500 which card is the best

By: CompareCards | Nov 2, 2016

With a score of 650, your credit is considered fair and the selection of balance transfer credit cards you can get approved for will be somewhat limited. The Capital One QuicksilverOne may be the best option for you as it comes with a nice 0% intro APR and is available for people in your credit range.

I have $23,000 that I would like to transfer to one card. My credit score is 775 to 800. Which is the best 0%, no transfer fee credit card to use. Thank you.

Looking to transfer about 3k total to a card that does NOT require the entire card to be paid off each month. I just want to make minimum payments each month without being charged interest.

There are a number of credit cards that have 0% introductory APR on balance transfer for a period of time, though you will typically need good or excellent credit to get approved for the best offers. The Citi Simplicity and the Citi Diamond Preferred each offer 0% intro APR for 21 months which is the longest intro APR on the market. Another great option is the Chase Slate card which comes with 0% intro APR for 15 months and no fee for balance transfers made within the first 60 days.

Compare 0% Balance Transfer Credit Cards & Offers

One of the main reasons that people shop for a new credit card is in order to find banks that offer special 0% balance transfer credit cards for the longest period of time and with low transfer fees. In recent years consumers have started to use credit cards more wisely than they did before the big credit crisis. Now they tend to shift high-interest card balances to cards that offer a lower APR, because in doing so they are able to gain immediate and substantial savings.

Use our free balance transfer calculator and credit card payoff calculator found on this site to figure out how much money you can save by getting a better interest rate. Then look in this section for the best balance transfer credit cards that offer good deals such as 0% interest for 1 to 2 years, no-fee balance transfers, and lower regular APR rates. You will want to pay special attention to any minimum charges or transfer % that a credit card company might impose on you for transferring a balance – deduct that cost from your overall savings in order to arrive at a real net savings for transferring to a new credit card.

Let’s say that you have a card that you’re currently paying 25% interest on, but you find a card here that will only charge you 3.99% for the first year and 18% thereafter. By moving your balance to the new card you can save more than 20% right away, and 7% over the long term. If your transfer amount is $3,000 that means you save around $500– $600 in interest within the next 12 months.

Reviews
" " CompareCards says issuers are providing such generous deals, they're virtually irresistible for those willing to switch.

" " Those who always pay their balances in full and on time will usually come out ahead.

" " The offers on the credit card landscape are constantly changing which is great news for consumers.

" " In the future, the companies that will thrive are those able to give customers exactly what they want, the way they want it, when they want it.

" " CompareCards was one of three sites that met all the criteria.
